This Santa Cruz event has a long history, providing a unique mix of a relaxed, local-race atmosphere and the high-level IRONMAN experience athletes expect. Competitors will interact with the Pacific Ocean and the challenging coastal hills that define the region.
The course begins with a swim in the Pacific Ocean, leading into a demanding bike course through the coastal hills. Athletes then move to a run along the beach, finishing a race that balances serious athletic effort with Santa Cruz's inherent relaxed vibe.
