Para la 5ª edición de la South Fork Alder Ass Race, tienes que conseguir un burro (con un coste extra, ojo) antes de apuntarte. Los burros se emparejan con los corredores según el ritmo y el carácter, no por orden de llegada.
Los 'ghost runners' llevarán el equipo tradicional de un buscador de oro. Una vez que te asignen uno, no se permite cambiar de burro, porque como dicen, 'you gotta dance with the one that brung ya'.
