Sobre esta carrera
La Grand Traverse, que nació en 1998, manda a los participantes desde Crested Butte, cruzando las Elk Mountains, hasta Aspen. Se inspira en las rutas de correo de la década de 1880 que conectaban esos pueblos mineros de Colorado.
Empezó siendo una Extraordinary Backcountry Ski Race, pero ahora también tiene carreras de montaña en verano y pruebas de bici. La carrera sirve para recaudar fondos importantes para Crested Butte Nordic.
