The Adventlauf des LCC Wien is a small road-race series in Vienna’s Prater, the city’s largest public park. Organized by LCC Wien, a Vienna athletics club, it offers a 10 km run, a 3 km run, and a 3 km walk on a flat, accurately measured route that is closed to traffic.
The 10 km race uses two laps, with the longer second lap sending runners out and back along Hauptallee, the main avenue through the park. Its turnaround sits near the Wiener Riesenrad, the big Ferris wheel in the Wurstelprater amusement park. Recent fields put the 10 km in the low hundreds, with smaller but steady groups in the 3 km run and walk, so it feels more like a local club race than a large city event.
