In Ischgl and Galtür, Tirol, the E-Bike WM für Jedermann adapts a mountain e-bike event into an open world-championship format for both ordinary riders and stronger racers. Held over three days in September and organized by the E-Bike World Federation, it features E-MTB and E-Bike categories. The event provides four routes: "Dabei sein ist alles," "Jedermann," "Jedermann Advanced," and "Elite," allowing riders to select from a participation-focused ride to a serious race effort. The "Jedermann" route is designed for recreational riders, families, teams, juniors, adults, and older participants, with distinct age categories ranging from Best Junior through multiple Master classes.
The primary "Jedermann" course connects Ischgl and Galtür before looping back to Ischgl, spanning approximately 26 to 30 km with 550 to 600 meters of elevation gain. It crosses fields, scree, private land, and hiking paths, and organizers state the entire route is manageable on a single battery charge. Participants can earn official Gold, Silver, or Bronze Jedermann WM medals by meeting set time limits, shifting the focus from a single overall winner to achieving personal goals. Access to the course is strictly managed: training is permitted only on the official training day prior to race day, and riding the course outside the event period is forbidden. The weekend also presents opportunities to test new e-bike trends, with Sportograf photographers documenting the route.
