About this race

The Gaishorner X-treme Bergduathlon challenges participants with an uphill race from Gaishorner See to the Mödlingerhütte, located above Gaishorn am See, in late summer. This mountain duathlon consists of an 8-kilometer mountain-bike ascent gaining 813 meters, followed by a 4-kilometer mountain run with an additional 215 meters of elevation gain. The Mödlingerhütte serves as the transition area, where cyclists change to running gear before heading to the Spielkogel and returning. Competitors can participate individually or as a team. An E-Bike Berg sprint is also offered, specifically for corporate teams. Spectators can be found along sections of the course, supporting athletes during this short, steep race focused on reaching the hut from the lake and then completing an out-and-back run to the summit.
