The Kinder-Radkriterium is a cycling race series for children and teenagers in and around the Ennstal region of Upper Styria. It is organized by Ergo School Race and originated from a local initiative to encourage young riders in bike racing, with events focused on enjoyment, self-assurance, and a communal club spirit, not solely on outcomes.
The program features races, cycling camps, and a family-friendly bike tour, allowing younger riders and their families to participate beyond a single race start. Benedikt Oswald, chairman of Ergo School Race and founder of Kids-Race, acknowledges the volunteer team, stating their dedication is what the children perceive at each event. The series also links with the broader Enns-Paltental cycling project, which has been introducing children to cycling for twenty years and has aided in developing numerous young talents.
