Murauer Stadtlauf

The Murauer Stadtlauf is a town run in Murau, Austria, held every October. It includes races for children and adults. A 21.1 km half marathon is its newest addition, added after repeated requests from runners in the region who wanted a longer option alongside the established shorter events. The half marathon route passes through Murau and the surrounding autumn countryside, with challenging sections interspersed with flatter parts. This mix makes it suitable for experienced runners, as well as for ambitious hobby runners trying the distance. The older classic races remain on the program, so the day retains its family-friendly atmosphere rather than becoming a half-marathon-only event.
