Rapid Lauf Wien

Rapid Lauf Wien is a green-and-white running event for SK Rapid fans, centered on Hütteldorf and the Allianz Stadion in Vienna’s 14th district. The in-person version returns on a Sunday in October, with races for ambitious runners, Nordic walkers, families, and children, not exclusively club athletes. The main adult options have included the 5.4 km Alfred Körner-Lauf and a 5.4 km Nordic Walking event, while children’s races use shorter distances of 900 meters and 1.8 km. The event has a strong Rapid identity: start numbers, medals, online certificates, and social posts with the race hashtag have all been part of past editions. When the race ran virtually, participants could run or walk wherever they were, record the effort with a watch or app, and upload one result with distance, time, and date visible. Part of the main-run entry fee supported “Die Rapid Familie Hilft!” together with Volkshilfe Wien, linking the race to the club’s wider community work.
