About this race
SWIM RUN SWIM Längsee is a swim-run-swim race at Längsee in Carinthia, held in early August as part of a summer lake sports weekend. The format is simple and unusual: athletes swim 1.5 km, run 5.4 km, then swim 1.0 km. It counts toward the Carinthian Triathlon Cup and the Carinthian Junior Cup, drawing both regular multisport racers and younger competitors chasing cup points.
The next day’s Swim Festival offers open-water races from 10 km down to short kids’ and mini distances. The longest swim uses four 2.5 km loops with three aid stations; swimmers may exit after each loop, though finishing after 7.5 km is not ranked. The event is family-friendly, with 250 m and 500 m races for kids plus a 50 m swim for the smallest children. Music, sun, and a mid-summer lake setting shape the atmosphere.
