The Trumer Triathlon takes place around Obertrumer See in Austria’s Salzburger Seenland. The swim is in the lake, the bike course is hilly and winds through the surrounding lake country, and the run is in the center of Obertrum am See. It is a triathlon weekend for families and serious racers alike, offering seven race options. These range from kids’ events and short beginner-friendly formats to middle distance. The short and middle distances can fill quickly, and the event also includes Bike & Run options within the fun and short-distance formats.
The lake is central to the weekend. Separate open-water crossings measure 1.4 km from Matzing or 3 km from Seeham across Obertrumer See. The 3 km crossing is part of the Arena Alpen Open Water Cup. Younger athletes compete in age-group distances during the Kids Triathlon, while the Funtriathlon offers a 250 m swim and a 12.5 km bike ride. Beyond the races, a Charity Run supports the Herzenswunsch-Hospizmobil. There is also a Trumer Village area, volunteers stationed around the course, and a triathlon party featuring a live band.
