About this race
Winter Run Graz starts and finishes at the Grazer Stadtstrand and gives runners three winter race days on the same measured 5 km loop. The format is simple: you decide on race day whether to run 5, 10, 15, or 20 km, and your result goes into the matching distance category. The loop is AIMS measured, so performances are valid for international comparison, and the repeated course makes it easy to compare your own runs across the series.
The route leaves the Stadtstrand over the Puchsteg, follows the Murradweg, passes under the Puntigamer Brücke, climbs onto its southern bike overpass, then heads south on Murfelder Straße. The turn comes shortly after the Gasrohrsteg, before runners return north by Murfelderstraße and the bike path back to the Stadtstrand. Starts are spread between 11:00 and 11:45 with net timing, so the rolling start does not cost anyone time. After the run, the event keeps things relaxed with After-Run-Chillen at the Stadtstrand.
