Zillingdorfer Silvesterlauf 2026

The Zillingdorfer Silvesterlauf is a late-December 5 km road race in Zillingdorf, Lower Austria, with the start and finish at the Volksschule on Rathausstraße. The programme is built around the main 5 km run, with separate youth and children's races, so it is not just a single adult field lining up for one distance. LC Blattla organizes the event, with Andreas Kögler named as chairman and organizer. The race has enough local history for course records and repeat podium stories to matter: Emil Bezecny first reached the main-race podium as a young runner, added more second and third places later, and eventually won in Zillingdorf with a 14:55 for 5 km, breaking a course record that had stood for 14 years.
