About this race
The Magnetic Island Two Bays Trail Run starts at Magnetic Island State School in Nelly Bay, crossing the island rather than following its edge. It offers a true trail runner's environment with native eucalyptus forest, coastal and bushland vistas, and rocky terrain that demands attention.
The course features "fast flowing single track" interspersed with "technical sections," providing an introduction to trail running for novices and a challenge for experienced runners. Participants will encounter smooth, runnable sections, rocky obstacles, "tropical island views," and will finish at the Arcadia Village Hotel. Keep watch in the forest for koalas, a charming aspect of this cross-island route.
