About this race

Brett's Wharf Plaza in Hamilton provides Run The River Brisbane Half a clear riverside feel from the first step, with the Brisbane River setting most of the scene. It is a "scenic community running event" rather than a large-scale production: local, friendly, and easy to picture with first-timers, regular racers, and family crews all milling around the same start-finish area. The running is on mostly flat, sealed riverside pathways, with the upgraded Lores Bonney Riverwalk adding good footing and very little climbing. Expect "stunning water views and city skyline vistas," the sort of course that feels "ideal for personal bests" without being sterile, especially in mild winter conditions perfect for running. It suits anyone wanting to challenge themselves against a beautiful natural backdrop, with friends and family close enough to be part of the morning.
