About this race
Crossdorp Oelem Kermisloop is a fair run in Oedelem, Belgium, held in September in and around the heart of the village. It is a small local road event built around a 1.8 km loop, with races from a free 500 m children's run up to 10.8 km. The setup is simple: younger children get their own short race, teenagers have a 1.8 km race with a podium, and adults or stronger juniors can choose the 5.4 km or 10.8 km races.
The longer distances repeat the same loop, so the 5.4 km race is three laps and the 10.8 km race is six laps. That makes it easy for spectators to see runners more than once and gives the event a compact village feel rather than a point-to-point format. The children's run is for primary-school-age kids and is free, while the teen race and both longer races have entry fees and podium ceremonies.
