About this race
The Marathon d'Anvers, or TREK Antwerp Marathon, takes place in Antwerp, Belgium, each October, drawing close to 20,000 participants. Runners can choose from three distances: a full marathon (42.195 km), a half marathon (approximately 21.1 km), or a 10 km race suitable for those seeking a shorter distance or a quick urban run. The event is set in a port city near the Netherlands, with a multicultural atmosphere and autumn weather influenced by sea air, cobblestone streets, and fallen leaves.
The marathon course winds through Antwerp’s business district and historic center, includes sections along the waterfront, and connects Droogdokkenweg to MAS Oostendekaai. The route passes significant historical landmarks, with Antwerp Central Station, the Cathedral of Our Lady, and the MAS museum forming part of the race day scenery. Antwerp also has Olympic heritage as a former host city. The finish offers a distinctly Belgian experience, with participants able to enjoy a local De Koninck beer followed by fries and other regional dishes.
