Neteloop Hulshout 2026

The Neteloop is a local running event in Hulshout, Belgium, held annually since the late 1980s. It started as a "jogging" event rather than a large-scale race. Parish priest Jos van Reusel, also a keen runner, aimed to encourage parish residents to participate, embracing the Olympic spirit where taking part is more important than winning. The route winds through the quiet Herebossen and alongside the Grote Nete, the river from which the race takes its name. The original start and finish were located in front of the parish hall. The first edition was organized with the help of parish groups and AC Hulshout. Several hundred joggers participated initially, primarily local runners. AC Hulshout continues to organize the event, focusing on runners, supporters, and volunteers.
