The Versele-Laga Run begins and ends on the Markt in Deinze, Belgium, with the town square serving as the center for the road race. Participants can select from 5 km, 10 km, 14 km, or 21 km distances. The event also features short children’s races of 400 and 800 metres. Versele-Laga coordinates the run with athletics club AC Deinze. The event attracts local runners, families, and supporters, distinguishing it from an elite-focused competition.
The course support is functional and community-based: a drink station is located near the Versele-Laga factory, another near AC Deinze, and the finish line provides water, vitamin water, a snack, and a gift bag. Changing facilities are accessible at the athletics club, and results are processed electronically. The race also generates funds for a chosen charity, with previous recipients such as VOC Merelbeke, Husky’s Foreverhome VZW, De Kleppe, and Zorgboerderij Het Groene Anker. One past edition saw 1,350 participants and included a €1,000 donation.
