Half Marathon races near Andenne

The Semi-marathon de Dinant is a new half marathon scheduled for October in Dinant. The start and finish will be in the city center, alongside the Meuse River. Organizers anticipate over 1,000 participants for this inaugural road race, designed for a wide range of runners. The course is planned to trace the Meuse between Hastière and Dinant, meaning participants will run alongside the river for most of the race, rather than through city streets. The precise route awaits final SPW approval for homologation. Maxime Laloux, also organizer of the Dinant trail, is heading this project with François Weynant and the Brasseur brothers, individuals well-known to local runners.

The Jogging et Trail de Bois-de-Breux is an October running event held in Liège, Belgium, near the Ardennes. Participants can choose from four routes: a 2 km Jeune route, a 5 km Moyen route, an 11 km Classique, and the 21 km Trail Denis Pigeon, which includes a 545-meter elevation gain. This variety allows children, short-distance runners, and trail runners to select a suitable course. The routes primarily follow paths, small roads, and country lanes, largely avoiding traffic. Much of the running occurs on unpaved surfaces, giving the longer options a character closer to local trail running than a flat city race. The event also guides participants through less-traveled areas of Liège, with course information, results, and photos available on the organizer’s official channels.

Trage Wegen Jogging is a running event held in October in Boutersem, located in Belgium’s Vlaams-Brabant province, starting at Sport’O’Droom. Participants can choose from 5 km, 10 km, 16 km, and 21 km distances. Time registration uses chips, and the event features a free-start format divided into two blocks. The course consists almost entirely of unpaved paths, featuring numerous single-track sections, making it more of a trail run than a road race. The route is marked, and aid stations are available along the way. Sport’O’Droom offers amenities such as changing rooms, showers, and luggage storage. Additionally, there are 400 m and 800 m kids' runs. Every child participating receives a medal. This marks the 12th edition of the race.

The Semi de la Province de Liège begins on Île Monsin, at the Esplanade Roi Albert near the Coronmeuse tram stop, the terminus of Liège’s tram line. This October road race centers on a half marathon, also offering 10 km and 5 km races, plus children’s events and a walking tour on the same day. The routes are flat and quick, with all finishes located close to the new Coronmeuse eco-district. The race draws from Liège’s marathon heritage; the city was the sixth globally to host a marathon, and a section of the current route retraces that original path. For the half marathon and 10 km events, the course order has been altered: the final three kilometers of the previous route now form the beginning, and the initial three kilometers are now at the end. Approximately 6,000 runners are anticipated, with the post-race area situated near the parade boats.
