Corrida de Rua - Tatuí is a 5 km road race in Tatuí, São Paulo, linked to the city’s “Capital da Música” identity. The race is organized by the city government’s sport, culture, tourism, and leisure department, and it occurs as part of the municipality’s birthday festivities. Approximately 500 runners are registered, making it a local mass-participation event instead of a large destination race.
The start and finish are at Praça da Matriz, where runners also collect their kits before the evening start. The route is a new 5 km course through the city streets. All finishers receive a participation medal, with trophies awarded to the top five overall male and female finishers and the top three in each age group. The music theme is relevant: the race aims to honor Tatuí’s standing as a national music reference while offering residents a short, accessible race in the town center.
