The Meia Maratona de Limeira originated as the Meia Maratona da Inclusão de Limeira, a road race held at Parque Cidade in Limeira, São Paulo. The event offers more than a standard half marathon: participants can select 21 km, 10 km, or 5 km distances. A 5 km option is available for walkers, and a separate race is organized for children. The main races commence early in the morning, with the half marathon beginning first, followed by the shorter races, the walk, the PCD race, and the kids' race.
The start and finish lines are located at Parque da Cidade on Rua João Kuhl Filho. The course details are not provided on a street-by-street basis. The participants include regular runners, walkers, children, athletes with disabilities, and teams in the Pernas Amigas category. In this category, athletes propel participants with disabilities in tricycles, enabling them to share the race. AINDA, APAE, and ARIL established the event with backing from the municipal government. The inaugural edition saw 706 finishers, with the quickest recorded times being 17:04 for 5 km, 38:30 for 10 km, and 1:15:03 for 21 km.
