5k Race for Plates (StockTheSummer.ca)

Runners begin at 8:30 AM from Kiwanis Heydenshore Park in Whitby, Ontario, completing a 5k on the Heydenshore waterfront trail. The course is fast and flat, suitable for those aiming for a quick time, as well as walkers, newer runners, and families seeking a simple local race. Registration provides professional timing by Speed River Timing, complimentary race photos, and a finisher medal. The Race for Plates supports StockTheSummer.ca, with participants encouraged to bring non-perishable food for local food banks. These donations also contribute to keeping the event accessible, offering a discount for children 12 and under and introducing a new children’s category for boys and girls.
