About this race
The Course Nocturne Sun Life de Montréal is an evening road race held in Montréal’s Parc Angrignon. The start and finish are located at 3400 Boulevard des Trinitaires. The event features a 10 km, a 5 km, a 2 km event for dogs, and a 1 km race for children aged 12 and under. The park opens in the afternoon, with the shorter and dog-friendly races commencing before the main 5 km and 10 km races later in the evening. The 5 km and 10 km races are primarily for teens and adults, each with a time limit: 1 hour 30 minutes for the 10 km and 1 hour for the 5 km. Official chip timing is provided for the 10 km, 5 km, and 1 km races.
The race takes place within Parc Angrignon after dark, featuring an illuminated course, music, light effects, and a summer-night ambiance instead of a typical morning start. The 2 km dog race is a unique aspect of the program, where participants run or walk with their dogs; both small and large dogs are welcome. This dog race is organized in partnership with the SPCA de Montréal, and the overall event supports the organization financially, with a stated fundraising target of CA$25,000. Sun Life serves as the title partner, and Athlétisme Québec recognizes the event as a road race with 1 km, 5 km, and 10 km distances.
