Essex Fun Fest 5k Walk, Run, and Wheel

The Essex Fun Fest 5k Walk, Run, and Wheel is a 5K event at Sadler’s Nature Park and Trail in Essex, Ontario, welcoming families. This is the third edition, designed for runners, walkers, and wheelchair users, with the entire route accessible for wheelchairs. BrokerLink Insurance presents the event, WRACE provides chip timing, and all proceeds benefit the Essex Area Food Bank. The course follows an out-and-back loop through Sadler’s Nature Park and Trail, extending onto the Sypher Systems Group Greenway. The race area is accessible from Victoria Ave, Keown St, or Thomas St, with the start located near where the Victoria and Keown paths converge. The day features a pre-race warm-up, music, lawn games, activities, raffle draws, awards, post-race refreshments, and finisher medals for the 5K run and walk. Participants also receive branded items including a shirt, tote bag, and reusable water bottle, giving it the feel of a local festival fundraiser rather than a standard road race.
