Ironkid Triathlon 2026

The Bluewater Triathlon, an Ironkid race for children, is held at Bright's Grove Public School. Packet pickup begins at noon, with racing starting at 1:00 p.m. The field is limited to 120 participants for safety. The event features a short swim-bike-run triathlon: participants aged 9 and under complete a 50m swim, 2.5km bike ride, and 1km run, while those aged 10 and older complete a 100m swim, 5km bike ride, and 2km run. The swim takes place on a marked and supervised course; organizers will cancel this portion if lake conditions are too rough or unsafe. All participants must wear a helmet, and each bicycle must pass an inspection prior to the race. Parents and guardians are permitted to accompany participants on the course and within the transition area, giving the event a feel tailored for young racers. The $20 entry fee covers the race, a swim cap, T-shirt, goodie bag, and BBQ. As the event typically sells out, early registration is advised for families.
