About this race
Rotary Ride for Hearing is a British Columbia cycling fundraiser held in June for the Rotary Club of Vancouver’s Hearing Foundation. Participants select a 100 km route for experienced cyclists or a 7.5 km family route suitable for children, families, and casual participants. The event focuses on raising funds for children and families affected by hearing loss; volunteers can participate on the day without riding.
The 100 km route involves repeated loops, allowing riders to accumulate distance up to 100 km across nine loops. The family option offers a short, manageable distance. The cause has a long history: the foundation has provided hearing care for over 40 years, supported Canada’s first cochlear implant surgery, facilitated over 770 surgeries, and allocated $6 million to patient care. An official jersey is available for purchase, and the event is B.C.’s longest-running cycling fundraiser.
