The Rotary Tour de Dundas Gran Fondo begins and ends at Dundas Driving Park in Dundas, Ontario. This one-day cycling event, held in late September, offers four ride options. It starts in the Dundas Valley, a training ground for Canadian Olympians, and coincides with the Taste of Dundas Outdoor Food Festival. E-bikes are permitted, and registration for any of the four rides includes a meal voucher for the festival.
The Olympian route, the longest at 100 miles (161 km), features over 1,000 m of climbing, an 18% ascent, and a winding 10% descent. The 100 km Countryside route follows paved rural roads through rolling farmland. The longer routes ascend the Niagara Escarpment before returning to the valley. The Rotary Club of Dundas organizes the event, directing funds to Margaret's Place Hospice, Routes Youth Centre, and local community projects.
