Half Marathon races near Torbay

The ECT 50% Half Marathon is a 21K trail race in Newfoundland and Labrador, running from Flatrock to the Red Cliff parking lot. It serves as a shorter sampler for the ECT 50, allowing runners to test themselves on East Coast Trail terrain before attempting the longer 50K or to work out trail pacing. The route uses Father Troy's Trail, Silver Mine Head Path, and Cobbler's Path, with the main aid point at Middle Cove Beach. Runners must carry a cell phone and whistle, manage their own food, clothing, and trail kit, and may only receive outside assistance at the Middle Cove Beach aid station, except for medical emergencies. Water and Gatorade are provided on course. The event is supported by the Seaside Showdown Series, the East Coast Trail Association, The Outfitters, and Train 4 Trails.
