Marathon de Zürich 2027

The Marathon de Zürich begins in central Zurich next to Lake Zurich and takes place each spring. The next event is scheduled for mid-April. While the main event is the full 42.195 km marathon, the race day also includes a 10 km race, a half marathon, and a four-person TeamRun relay. This offers options for dedicated marathoners, those preferring shorter distances, and teams. The marathon course follows Lake Zurich for a significant portion before entering Zurich’s historic center. Runners will pass cobblestone streets, bustling squares, and landmarks like the Grossmünster and Fraumünster. Additional sections go through villages showcasing traditional Zurich architecture, and one segment requires crossing the lake. Spectators often gather along the course, with some creating impromptu roadside concerts. Given the spring timing, participants should anticipate potential rain, meaning the lakeside sections may not always be dry or straightforward.
