About this race
The Nationalpark Bike Marathon is an off-road mountain bike marathon held in Scuol, Graubünden, on the last Saturday of August. The main route, Vallader, is a 141 km loop around the Swiss National Park, starting and finishing in Scuol, with 3,848 meters of elevation gain. While Scuol, Fuldera, Livigno, S-chanf, and Zernez serve as starting points, all participants conclude in Scuol. This event is Graubünden's largest cycling event, offering routes from a demanding all-day mountain challenge to shorter options suitable for less experienced riders and families.
The longer routes traverse the Engadine and Val Müstair, with the Val Mora and Chaschauna Pass significantly shaping the race. The Vallader route combines bike paths, hiking trails, and singletrack. Jauer covers 107 km from Fuldera via Val Mora towards Livigno. Livignasco begins in Livigno, ascends towards Chaschauna, then descends via singletrack into the Engadine. Putèr, a 47 km route through Engadine villages, is favored by hobby riders and families. The 33 km Zernezer route provides a shorter option for beginners and juniors. The Gross & Klein category allows children to ride Putèr accompanied by an adult, and organizers provide alternative routes for inclement weather when high mountain paths require adjustments.
