Ränn de Uetliberg is an evening mountain run in Uitikon, near Zurich, where runners ascend toward the Uetliberg as the sun sets. It is part of the Zürilauf Cup. The longest race covers 11.5 km with 358 m of elevation gain. The event also offers shorter races: a 6.9 km Cup race, a 6.9 km junior race, a 2 km youth race, and a 0.78 km kids' run. Additionally, there is a 6.9 km category for walking or Nordic walking.
The primary course begins at Sportanlage Allmend in Uitikon. It ascends from Waldegg towards the Uetliberg viewpoint before descending back to Uitikon. The terrain consists mostly of natural paths, giving the race a forest hill run character rather than a city road event. The ascent requires strong leg muscles, but the summit provides a clear view of Lake Zurich and the Alps. Following two virtual editions, the race has returned to an in-person format, featuring a finish-area summer gathering with music and other activities.
