Běh 17. listopadu Kadaň is a public-holiday running event in Kadaň, a royal town in northwestern Czechia. It is held on the Day of Struggle for Freedom and Democracy and International Students' Day, with races starting at Rooseveltovy sady behind the sports hall. The format is simple and local: a series of short races rather than one mass start, organized by SKMP Kadaň.
The schedule begins with the youngest children, including a 100 m run for preschoolers, then progresses through age groups over 280 m, 550 m, 1,300 m, and 1,800 m. The event is open to all ages, from the youngest runners to the oldest, presenting more as a town sports morning than an elite competition. Entry is inexpensive, preschoolers can enter free in advance, and Jiří Vlasák is the contact for practical questions.
