Běh kolem Ameriky is a Czech forest race held in Písek's Amerika forest park every October. Its full name is Lesní běh Kolem Ameriky, and it is a cross-country event, not a road race. The race has taken place since 1925, making it the third oldest running race in the Czech Republic and the nation’s oldest cross-country run.
The first edition was organized by the local athletics club S.K. Písek, with 31 runners in three categories, including two 1,800 m races for sprinters and general entrants. Today, the event is organized by Atletika Písek and Interhotel Amerika. Youth races begin in the morning, with the main men’s race around midday. Its history is closely tied to local organizers, including founders Václav Chudoba, Karel Morava, Jan Lis, Boris Milec, Olda Michálek, and Karel Kokrda.
