About this race
The Běh na Kraví horu begins near the former post office in Teplice nad Metují, with all participants starting uphill together in an October mass-start race. The primary course measures just 3.2 km but ascends 242 m to the Kraví hora crossroads, reaching an elevation of 702 m. This makes it a challenging, short race. A 2 km course is provided for youth runners, and the event is part of the Běžecké vršky hill-running series.
The course is marked with flags. The youth finish is located above the ski slope area, distinct from the main summit-side crossroads. Sportovní klub REDPOINT TEAM organizes the race, offering categories for children up to 14, younger adults, masters runners, women over 50, and men over 60. Course records illustrate the climb: 15:36 for men, 19:15 for women, 9:45 for boys, and 10:30 for girls.
