Běh na Lysou horu is a mountain running race from Krásná Nižní Mohelnice to Lysá hora, the highest summit in the Moravian-Silesian Beskids. It is run on the last Saturday of July and draws several hundred runners, with regular participation from both the Czech Republic and Poland.
The start is near the Zlatník restaurant at the crossroads for Lysá hora, where registration and the awards ceremony are also held. The route is simple but demanding: runners follow a Lesy ČR service road, staying on asphalt all the way up to the summit of the “Queen of the Beskids.” The event also serves as the Czech Veterans Championship in mountain running, which gives the field a strong competitive edge alongside the mass of local and visiting runners.
