Běh o Ludgerův meč is a local running race held at the football field area in Hořičky, a village in the Náchod district of eastern Bohemia. The main race covers 8 km, with a shorter 4 km Fit route available for those preferring a single lap. Race-day check-in begins in the morning at the football field area; registration is managed online prior to the event.
The course circles Hořičky over gently rolling terrain, incorporating gravel and forest paths, with vistas towards the Kladské pomezí region. Běžecký klub Náchod organizes and times the race in partnership with the municipality of Hořičky. As part of the Primátor CUP series and the Velká cena východních Čech cup, it attracts both regular regional competitors and local participants. The event features men’s and women’s categories, youth races, and very short children’s races, including a 150 m course for the youngest participants.
