Běh o Neplachovský Hrneček is a 10 km evening race in Neplachov, part of the South Bohemian Running Cup. The start is set for early evening and may shift slightly for practical reasons; one edition was delayed fifteen minutes due to passing rain. The race maintains a local scale, with just over a hundred finishers reported, but the competition at the front is fast: the men’s winner ran 35:52, and the fastest woman finished in 40:51.
The course details are limited, but the race has a distinct village-club atmosphere, unlike a large city event. Men and women are divided into three age groups: up to 34, 35 to 49, and over 50. Category winners receive the Neplachov mug, which names the race, and the organizers also recognize the oldest participant annually. The field comprises experienced cup runners, women’s categories with good depth, and individuals using Neplachov as their initial race.
