INOV-8 Hostýnská osma 2026

INOV-8 Hostýnská osma takes runners into the Hostýnské vrchy from Rajnochovice village, starting and finishing by the Municipal Office. It is a 68 km international ultratrail for solo runners and two-person teams, with 3,100 m of climbing and a field capped at 600. The race is held in August and serves as the Ondřej Tabarka memorial. The route is shaped like a figure eight, with Tesák as the middle point, which gives the race its name. Most of it follows marked hiking trails, with a few specially marked sections and very little asphalt. Runners climb Hostýn peaks including Kunovická hůrka, Čečetkov, Tesák, Čerňava, and Jehelník. The entry list is split across men's, women's, and team categories, including mixed pairs, so the day brings together individual ultrarunners and partners who have to manage the same long mountain course together.
