Jiříkovská půlka 2026

Jiříkovská půlka is a running race in Jiříkov, a border town in the Šluknov Hook near Bohemian and Saxon Switzerland and the Elbe Sandstones. It is presented as a race for ordinary runners as much as fast ones, with terrain that people can handle regardless of pace. The event is prepared by runners, which is evident in the practical setup: the route is built so competitors meet their supporters several times instead of disappearing into the countryside for one long stretch. The course goes past ponds, through forest, and across fields around Jiříkov, changing often without becoming a technical mountain race. The atmosphere is small and personal: organizers know runners, runners know each other, and many people come simply to enjoy the day. The backing comes from locals together with SAK Rumburk and BK Varnsdorf, a group linked by running and also involved in other local races. One edition had about 200 people registered online in advance, including more than 40 children, with entrants from the region, farther away, and abroad.
