About this race
Kolo pro život is the Czech Republic’s largest mountain bike race series, designed for both casual participants and dedicated competitors. It takes place nationwide on an eight-race schedule, catering to adults, children, families, novice racers, amateur cyclists, and performance-oriented riders. The core concept is straightforward: amateur mountain bike racing with an open entry for all ages and speeds, attracting thousands of participants annually.
The races are held in various Czech locations, with forest environments significantly shaping the series' character; Forests of the Czech Republic is a partner. Children compete in the Nova Sport Junior Trophy races, and the main races contribute to a points system that influences starting positions in subsequent events. Participants online characterize it as a large-scale event, yet one where a well-prepared rider can aim for a good outcome. Registering in advance is beneficial as it can reduce the entry fee and may include additional items such as a shirt, food, and beverages at the finish line.
