Měřínský kros begins and ends on the tartan track at the sports field behind the Měřín elementary school. Měřín is a town in the Vysočina Region, near the Žďár nad Sázavou district. This cross-country trail race offers 13 km and 8 km distances. Junior Kros races cover 700 m and 1400 m, and an obstacle race is available for children aged 5 to 12. The main race starts in the afternoon, and the event is scheduled for August.
The 13 km course loops from Měřín over Dědkovská hora. It primarily follows field tracks, forest paths, and marked trails, with approximately one-third on asphalt. The organizers describe the shorter 8 km route as a simple loop from Měřín toward Blíkov and returning. Organizers once promoted the main race with the phrase “Thirteen kilometers and one hour.” A previous edition saw 82 participants, and Jakub Exner established the course record. The children’s obstacle race also attracted significant attention, with participants competing in two age groups.
