The NN Night Run České Budějovice begins and ends on Náměstí Přemysla Otakara II., the main central square in České Budějovice. This event draws approximately 2,000 runners annually across all categories, making it the city’s largest recurring running competition. The primary night races are 5 km, known locally as the Pětka, and 10 km, the Desítka. The event's schedule also features children's races, a 2 km family fun run, a 1 km sprint, and 2x5 km relays.
The course winds through the city center and alongside the Vltava River, keeping the race centered within České Budějovice rather than resembling an event held outside the city. The main square serves as a hub for activities throughout the day, offering partner booths, food, sweets, face painting, balloons, and inflatable attractions. A Run Against Cancer is included in the program, and all participants receive a medal. This race is part of the NN Night Run series, which also holds events in Liberec, Most, Prague, and Olomouc.
