Pojizerský kros is a short cross/trail race held in Bradlec, a village near Mladá Boleslav in the Central Bohemian Region. Typically run in July, it begins at 10:00 AM in front of the local restaurant and spans approximately 6.8 km. The course combines road sections with country and forest paths, distinguishing it from a pure road race, yet it remains short enough for those seeking a challenging local run over an extended trail experience.
Registration is conducted exclusively on-site with a straightforward 100 CZK entry fee. Participants are categorized into age groups for both men and women. A unique tradition involves weighing each runner before the start. Post-race, runners are sorted into categories based on their weight change, likened to greyhound breeds, and awarded prizes accordingly. The event, organized by TJ Bakovský půlmaraton, has a history spanning decades with over thirty editions completed.
