Vánoční běh pod Černou věží is a Christmas running event in Klatovy. Registration is at the Municipal Office below the Black Tower, with starts on the town square. It is designed for a holiday morning rather than record chasing. Children run first, followed by older categories. Distances range from 100 m for the youngest children to 4.8 km for adult men and 3.6 km for adult women. The children’s races use short laps around the square. Older pupils, teenagers, and adults run one or more laps of the main city circuit through the streets of Klatovy. The event is part of the Ešus liga series and has passed thirty editions, making it a familiar local fixture.
