About this race
Gütersloher Gravelday is an autumn gravel ride in Gütersloh, organized by RSV Gütersloh 1931 e.V. and included in the North Rhine-Westphalia cycling federation calendar. It begins and ends at the LAZ athletics centre, Am Schlangenbach 93, with participants departing between 10:00 and 11:00. The event provides three flat route options: 28 km, 40 km, and 56 km, suitable for those seeking a brief off-road excursion or a longer winter training ride.
The routes are designed for gravel and cyclocross bikes, though mountain bikes, ATBs, and E-MTBs are also accommodated. On-site registration is the only method available, with reduced entry fees for BDR leisure-sport license holders compared to non-licensed participants. Food, snacks, and drink refills are provided at the start/finish area, and facilities include changing rooms, showers, and a bike-washing station post-ride. Approximately 260 cyclists attended the twelfth edition, despite light rain, overnight wetness, and the start of school holidays which reduced attendance by about 120 from the prior year.
