About this race
The Umpfertallauf begins and ends at the market square in Unterschüpf. Runners take a flat path towards Schweigern and return the same way. This event is part of the Unterschüpfer Weintage, held at the end of August on a Saturday evening. The schedule features a 10 km main race, a 10 km relay, a 5 km fun run, student races, Bambini races, and 5 km of Nordic Walking.
The course uses the bike path to Schweigern. The 5 km runners turn around there before heading back to the market square. Each 5 km lap includes approximately 33 metres of elevation gain, making the race suitable for less experienced runners and those seeking a quick pace. The triathlon department of TSV Unterschüpf organizes the event. Awards are presented afterward in the festival tent, closely linking the run to the surrounding wine festival.
