The Fürst Carl Seenlandmarathon is a running and Nordic walking weekend in Pleinfeld am Brombachsee, in Germany’s Franconian Lake District. The main race is a full 42.195-kilometer marathon, but the program also includes the Be media Half Marathon, marathon relays, company relays, and Nordic walking over the half marathon distance. The event is built for more than marathon specialists: there is a 5.2-kilometer hobby run, plus student and Bambini races for children. Runners pick up their starter packs at a sports fair on the day before the races, and the organizers describe the event as professionally run but family-like, with enough distance choices for teams, first-timers, walkers, children, and experienced runners to share the same weekend.
