About this race
The Altstadtlauf “Auf der Goldspur” sends runners around Korbach’s old town, with the finish funnel set up on the schoolyard of the Westwall School. The main race is a 7.5-kilometer Saturday-morning run, and the field draws several hundred runners after its COVID break.
The route consists of six laps through the old town, featuring hills and numerous cobblestone sections that increase the difficulty compared to a flat city race. Gebri Tewelde of Laufteam Kassel won the main race in 28:08, running 3:45 per kilometer after a year and a half of injury. Local unattached runner Nico Muller finished 30 seconds later and won the M30 age group. Lukas Weber was fastest over the short distance.
