About this race
The Benther-Berg-Lauf is a local running event in Benthe, a part of Ronnenberg near Hanover, held annually in October at the VSV Benthe sports field on Am Hammfeld. This 25th edition features a 21.8 km race, slightly longer than a half-marathon, a 10 km run, a 10 km walk, a 3.6 km introductory run, a 1.8 km children's race, and a 550 m Bambini run for the youngest participants.
All events commence and conclude at the VSV Benthe sports grounds, with bib and transponder collection available in the club gym from the morning. The course is rolling, meaning even the shorter adult races have some elevation changes. The schedule accommodates families and dedicated runners alike: children up to 10 have a dedicated race, under-7s can participate in the Bambini distance, and under-16 runners receive an additional ranking in the 3.6 km event. Late registration is available until shortly before the races begin. The club provides parking behind the sports facility, though access is altered as Am Hammfeld becomes a dead-end street on race day.
